How are we helping?

This winter is a difficult time for all, and we want you to know that ccha are here to help. It can be difficult to juggle paying your rent, energy bills and for your food as well as attending all the activities you want to do, but we do have a service which you can take advantage of.

Jane, our Welfare and Debt Advice Officer, is here to help you maximise your benefits. Last year, we sent out some communications about the Council Tax Rebate and Jane received so many responses! Even if you don’t normally claim benefits or feel like you can’t because you are working, it is still worth having a chat with Jane to see if you can claim anything. Many people are missing out on payments they are entitled to which can really help to make up the difference.

We have put together some information about the Cost of Living payments and extra benefits you could receive, as well as an article on Money Saving Tips which includes how to save money on food and access food banks. We hope these are useful.

If you are struggling to pay your rent, please contact our income team as soon as you can to have a chat. You can call 0800 054 6710 or email income@ccha.biz.

Do you have an activity you’d like to fund or a purchase you’d like to make for your scheme or community? Our President’s Fund is available for you to take advantage of. Visit our President’s Fund webpage to find out what you can apply for and the application form. Alternatively, please speak to your Tenancy Management Officer. If your application is accepted, ccha will cover the costs!

Don’t forget our competition at the end of this newsletter! You get 2 chances to win a £5 Love2Shop voucher. Last year we only had about 7 entrants who all received at least 1 £5 voucher, so make sure you enter before the deadline.
