Its been another great year for ccha
I am pleased to introduce ccha's annual report in my first year as Chair of the Organisation.
We are publishing this annual report amid unprecedented times due to the Covid 19 pandemic which took effect in the last quarter of 2019/20. The pre pandemic times seem like a different world!
However, it is important we recognise what we have achieved over the last year. In line with our Commitment 2020, ccha completed 40 new homes. We also started our new estate services contract with Chequers and procured a new repairs and maintenance contract which started in April.
We carried out extensive consultation with residents and staff on our current services and on our future priorities. The views of residents and staff have fed into our new 10-year corporate strategy which the Board approved in February.
During the year we also saw changes to our senior team and the Board. We said goodbye to Michael Chinn our Finance Director; Steve Benson, my predecessor as Chair and Clive Stuart, our Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee who both completed their tenures with ccha. I would like to thank them for their contribution to ccha. We have welcomed Paul Hicks, Mark Collins and Nancy Callender on to our Board and Audit Committee and Chrishanti Shah joins as our new Finance Director
Thanks to the continuing commitment of our Staff and Board, the support of our residents and partners during the year; ccha remains, resilient, adaptable and ready to face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
