Meet your Neighbourhood Services Officer
We had a chat with Shantel, a relatively new member of the Neighbourhood Services team. She’s been with ccha for a little while though, having worked as a Wellbeing and Maintenance Assistant for our older person schemes.
Meet Shantel
I typically manage around 300 plus ccha properties. I'm responsible for various services, including estate and neighbourhood management, lettings and void management, tenancy enforcement, and customer engagement. My Income, Community Investment and Business Support colleagues work together to achieve positive outcomes for you and your communities.
Each day, I handle resident queries, schedule bulk waste removal, address resident issues, conduct property viewings for new residents, and handle new resident sign-ups. I aim to deal with your queries quickly to give you a sense of security and reassurance.
My journey in the housing sector began at a young age, starting in an administrative role. Despite a brief rest, my passion for this field led me back. This deep-rooted passion fuels my commitment to serving you and the community, instilling confidence in my expertise and dedication.
It's crucial for our residents to understand the significance of accessing the President's Fund. This fund is a unique opportunity to finance projects that enhance our building and community.
What is the President’s Fund?
Each year, we have a fund for residents to improve their local communities. It can be used for estate improvements, outdoor spaces, social and community events and activities. The President's Fund is open to you and all current ccha residents as long as the request will benefit your community.
What does it cover:
- Social activities or events.
- Community initiatives.
- Training to develop skills – IT, DIY, gardening etc.
- Fun days.
- Garden improvements or equipment purchases – for example, do you need garden furniture for all to enjoy?
What it does not cover:
- Individual benefit.
- One time use.
